In the Waldbad Anif you can find a very specific christmas market. Already three times this outstanding winter festival took place at the beautiful lake. We were also there and were very impressed of the art, the culture and the culinary art. The Waldbad which is a very famous summer spot for swimming has been turned to an idyllic christmas market.
Your attention should be paid to the miraculous light and sound installationes. I really enjoyed the varios booths with the different arts and crafts. It is kind of hard to leave without a small gift J Furthermore the culinary delicacies are very recommendable too. We enjoyed the traditional „Salzburger Kasnockn“ and as a dessert a delicious „Bauernkrapfen“. I think there is plenty of food for everybody. Moreover you can find contemporary exhibitions, movie shows, readings, performances, workshops and concerts. Sunday is family day! Children are enjoying exciting wood expeditions, fairytale readings and pony riding. In our opinion this christmas market differs from the other traditional ones in his alternative approach and is a must for everybody.
